the denim jacket

This post has been such a long time in the making. After a good few months at school, I finally finished making my denim jacket and it deserves a post dedicated to itself, therefore I've put together a compilation of slightly blurry, candid shots (oh and me looking like a 12 year old in the first pic). These photos have also made me realise how much I need to get a haircut, I need my short hair back.

cruelty free beauty on a budget

Oh hey I didn't realise you still blogged about beauty? Yep I know it's been a while but I have finally had the time to sit down and write a beauty post. Cruelty free beauty is being more widely discussed and it's so great to see, most expensive brands are widely regarded as cruelty free and although there are some that aren't (mac, benefit etc.) they're quite expensive and if you're a student or are only just building up your makeup collection then look no further, there are drugstore brands that are cruelty free - in fact quite a lot are.

#anewageinspiration Birdsong London

All photos are from Birdsong
Birdsong is the coolest fashion brand that you're going to see. A blend of incredible, affordable and feminist ethical clothes it's near impossible to not want to buy every piece of clothing they sell. It's clear through the ethos of the brand and the direction it's heading in there are big things for the future of Birdsong and as there's no doubt that I will love everything they do.

let's have a chat about ethical fashion

Ethical fashion is as google defines it an 'umbrella term to describe ethical fashion design, production, retail, and purchasing. It covers a range of issues such as working conditions, exploitation, fair trade, sustainable production, the environment, and animal welfare.' The workers are paid a fair wage, the environment the clothes are made in is a good standard and the materials that the garments are made from have a positive environmental impact in mind.

the importance of supporting other women

In my eager anticipation to write and paint for this post I placed the heart on the painted background and eh uhh I got glue all over the heart *facepalm*. Not too sure how I managed to do it but I did and seeing as I decided to paint the night before this post is going up I had no choice but to rolll with it. Some tactile editing skills and the worst of the glue stain has magically disappeared thanks to facetune. I digress, this post is neither about hearts or art therefore I was not going to repaint it again (ps this is an artistic representation of a heart because I am not going to get all sciency in this blogpost either).
