#anewageinspiration beaumont organic

I'm back with another #anewageinspiration today and I'm super excited to be interviewing Hannah the founder of Beaumont Organic. the luxury ethical fashion brand have the mission to design and create 'Contemporary Conscious Clothing' responsibly. The company's ethos is really positive and I love how they are inspired by making changes for a more sustainable future. Yes, their pieces may be a little pricey, but they're so worth it knowing the story behind them and the sustainable future they're trying to make from the clothes that they sell it's so fab an definitely merits a new age inspiration in my opinion. Shopping their sale does make the items a little cheaper and I definitely want to buy something from Beaumont Organic later this year as their basics are gorggeous.
The nicest jumper everrrrr

1. How and when was Beaumont organic founded?
2008. It was founded from a desire to create a range where everyone along the supply chain was treated fairly and also the environment was respected in the production process.
2.    Did you always want to make ethical fashion; what's the driving force behind your brand?
I launched the range in 2008, at the time I was a big shopper and owned numerous cotton t’s. After doing some research I realised the damage to the environment the growing of cotton was causing. My research continued to find their were very few luxury organic cotton t’s available and hence why I launched the range in 2008 with 8 beautiful T’shirts.
3. What is the most challenging aspect of creating 'contemporary conscious clothing'?
Educating our customers has in the past been the most challenging part. However, now our customer is becoming more aware we are becoming challenged by our supply chain and sourcing more new fabrics for our customers.

4.    I'm in love with Organic Beaumont's clothes but who's your biggest inspiration and why?
I am inspired by iconic brands like Chanel for the longevity of the brand, creating an iconic brand like Channel requires so much dedication and clarity and I respect this highly.  Safia Minney and Katherine Hamnet are hugely inspirational ladies in the world of pioneering ethical fashion. Finally, Marlene Birger for her elegant sophistication and recognizable brand identity.
5. How do you approach new seasons and trends as an ethical fashion company?
In the same way as any fashion house. We look at shapes, colours, texture. We are not hugely trend driven as our collection is designed to be timeless but we do always look at what the trends are doing as any fashion house should. Beaumont Organic has a core group of factories that we always work with so we don’t source new factories every season, just some new fabrics.

6. What is your biggest achievement to date - are there any things you're looking forward to in the future?
Securing world-class agents and distributor for Beaumont Organic in Japan, The Netherlands and Switzerland. This is key for international success and is a credit to the company that these recognized agents have choose us. I am excited to grow with them and other similar companies in other territories whilst also growing our online store.

7. What advice would you give to someone who wanted to adopt a more ethical lifestyle/buying and didn't know where to start?
I would say ask questions. You need to talk to people and understand what you are buying and what lifestyle you want for yourself in order to make choices.

  1. Such a good post, i'll definitely be going to these guys when I need some new investment pieces (my student budget won't allow for much more). I don't suppose in your ethical fashion search you've come across any fabric providers that ethically source?

    1. Yes! There's a site called maud fabrics or the organic textile company (I've bought from them before and they have a really great range at a good price) I hope you find what you're looking for!

  2. Daaaamnn, interviewing skills. I've never heard of this brand but I've basically rinsed out all my local charity shops and depop so I'll definitely be having a look.
