tanya burr and the global goals

As an avid viewer of Tanya Burr's videos I value her opinions on brands, products, clothes and book recommendations but what about her views on the world we live in? So many Youtubers vlog about the mundane nuances of their day, videos I'll happily watch and appreciate but when they have such a huge following of young and impressionable people I find it somewhat perplexing why they don't want to use that audience to make a difference to the world we live in.

I do fit into that category of young and impressionable so when I started watching Tanya's videos probably a few years ago now I fell in love with the way she spent 20 minutes talking about the clothes she bought. Now, slightly older and about to embark on the most pressured year of my life so far (if I haven't been told this copious times before) I look up to Tanya for a different reason altogether. Yes I do look at her for fashion advice; her curvy figure similar to my build and whilst writing this I am actually wearing a jumper she wore in a haul a few months ago from Micha Lounge which is one of the cosiest pieces in my wardrobe. Her effortless way of incorporating designer garments with a lower priced high street alternatives makes her in my opinion a total girl boss. But I look up to her now because of how she's shaping her internet footprint, it's huge online but her influence off the social media atmosphere is equally big as well.
In September last year, Tanya was announced as ambassador for The Global Goals, a sustainable development campaign with the aim to end poverty, fight inequality and tackle climate change. As an ambassador she asked viewers to use #TBGlobalGoals to share the goal they're most passionate about and to help make the goals a reality. Tanya shares my most passionate goal, Number 5 - gender equality.

In a recent podcast with Emma Gammon (who is also equally as badass) she discussed her trip to Africa for Girls for Girls and how it was a life changing experience. Watched her vlog on the trip and it was so inspiring to see how empowered these girls were to make a difference in the world. Seeing girls supporting other girls is so great to see.

It's fab to see a Youtuber making a difference and that's why I love Tanya so much, I can't wait to see what she does next for Girls for Girls and the Global Goals and it's so refreshing to see other like minding Youtubers and internet influences out there.

Do you love Tanya Burr as much as I do and what's your opinion on Girls for Girls and the Global goals? I would love to know your thoughts!
