dewy makeup m8

Dewy in autumn and winter? Why not! You don't have to have the luminescent glow of 100 layers of highlight (even though we might try) but a little radiance on a dull, gloomy weekday can boost your mood and ultimately your complexion.

Ambient lighting powders are a hit or miss with a lot of people but for days when my skin ain't looking too pretty and I need to brighten my cheeks up a bit dim light is absolutely perfect. The subtle glow and the fact it sets my skin all in one step? Well that means it's even better for when I'm in a rush. I did however feel slight regret when I got to the till and was told that the product cost £40!!! (Yes that price does merit three exclamation mark). But luckily I had my Space Nk Ndulge card with £5 off on it so I managed to buy it for £35, slightly less damaging on my bank account.

I couldn't do this post without mentioning Nars Sheer Glow. My skin gets quite dry during winter but this foundation is actually the best for staying all day AND looking like I have normal skin. I've paired it with the ambient lighting powder many a time and they just pair perfectly with one another, both no shine and still glowy. With Halloween on the horizon (still not aware of the fad about Halloween, I'm just not into the dressing up as a vampire - my pale skin alone is scary enough) You could always do this makeup look with some fake blood somewhere; honestly don't ask me to do Halloween tutorials because I wouldn't have an ounce of stage makeup to do them with. Is blue eyeshadow scary enough? No, probably not.
If you didn't want to go down the highlighter, dewy foundation or glowy centre look then maybe try some glowy eyeshadow? Nars duo in silk road is so unique and the colour pay off is unbelievable. I'm not usually a fan of pink eyeshadow and apparently it's not good to bring out the 'green' in my eyes but I disagree - that and gold shadows are my absolute fave at the moment. The eyeshadows look more peachy on the lid and whilst yes there is some fallout, that was expected when buying a glitter eyeshadow. I'll definitely be buying more in the future. I do have to stress that a massive bonus of this product is how easily you can travel with it - the duo makes it super makeup bag friendly.
What's your favourite product to stay dewy in Autumn/Winter?
Even if I don't want to dewy skin I think the Nars duo eyeshadow has to be my favourite - it's perfect for any time of the year and I'm totally wearing this look for Christmas parties.

Love, Eleanor xx
