is it worth the hype?

I'm back today with an actual beauty post, I feel like I haven't sat down and written one of these in so long and I've actually slightly missed it therefore to try and get my beauty blogging mojo back I decided to purchase and review the ABH brow pomade seeing as it's been on my wishlist for a while and I've been itching to see what it's like.
Before buying the pomade I literally just used an eyeshadow for my eye brows and I look back now and see how absolutely horrendous they looked, but was this product going to transform my brows? A totally trivial question but I do however have the answer, it might. It's quickly become my favourite brow product due to the lasting power, perfect shade match and how thick it makes my good ol' blond eye brows look.

First impressions of this product were that it is the perfect shade for my brows, I had the blonde shade in my basket for the longest time but after googling images comparing both the blonde and taupe shade I thought taupe was the better match. It definitely was! That being said, even just the tiniest amount of pomade can be too much (yep I learnt this the hard way and applied way too much the first time I tried the product.) But with some practice I found myself falling in love with the pomade - it's so easy to use; just slightly dab the tip of the brush in the product, draw on the bottom line of the brow and I brushed up to evenly distribute it (this part needs some practice). An angled brush is definitely needed when applying the product, it makes the whole process so much easier!
Pros? Incredibly pigmented (this could be a con if you don't have a light hand as it can look quite intense) so you don't need a lot, lovely texture as it doesn't feel sticky at all. The staying power is also amazing as it lasts all day even in the heat and there is a fantastic shade range.

Cons? I've read other reviews that says the product dries out quickly but if it does I'll update you, the price may put some people off but for £15 I don't think it is too bad (it only comes with 4g but considering how little you need I think that is personally quite good) and the availability; those living in the UK can only purchase this online therefore knowing exactly the shade you are could be hard for some people. It's also maybe not a product for a makeup beginner but with practice I think my brows will look increasingly better!
I know I'm not the best at brows but I am learning, practice makes perfect :))
Any final words for this product? I love it and would totally recommend, it lasts all day and doesn't flake off even in 32 degrees heat as I'm writing this (yay for the brief heat wave Britain) and I can safely say it is worth the surrounding hype. Have you tried this before and what is your go to brow product? Let me know in the comments!

  3. I haven't tried this one but I am dying to pick it up! I have tried the Freedom dupe though, and that was great but did dry up VERY quickly and I am currently using Benefits Ka Brow which is fantastic - it has such a smooth gel like consistency but it lasts all day :)x

    1. I've heard of freedom makeup being quite good but I'm not sure whether they test on animals or not - I think I'm want to try the Ka brow next though! x
